Biography
Quim Ventura’s career began along Spain’s Mediterranean coast, as he discovered the colors and techniques that, when combined with materials indigenous to the area, make his paintings special with a signature Mediterranean flavour.
Born in November 1970 in Sant Andreu de Llavaneres, Barcelona, Quim completed his first painting when he was 14 years old.
Although he spent some time studying at the Catalan painter Pere Martir Viada’s artist school in Spain’s Mataró region, Ventura is largely self-taught.
