Artist Statement

Anchor 1

“I move through space and time, my thoughts directed and distracted as much by the demands of the day and memory as by considerations of the future.

My art represents a filtering and ordering of these experiences, the structures I inhabit, the objects and images I absorb, along with the books I read and the people with whom I am involved: people who are also absorbed in their own languages, thoughts and environments.

These paintings are imaginary, psychological and representational fusions of internal and external worlds and the movement between the two.” - Pamela Chapman
